Dark Souls - Ornstein / Smough Boss Fight (Strategy) [NG+]

Area: Anor Londo
Level: 81
Class: Knight
Weapon: Lightning Spear+4, Crystal Ring Shield+5, Eagle Shield+5, Ascended Pyromancer Flame+1
Armor: Mask of the Child, Stone Body/Hands/Legs, Havel's Ring, Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring
Difficulty: 7/10
Stats:
Vit: 26
Attune: 12
End: 37
Str: 25
Dex: 30
Res:10
Int: 10
Faith: 12

Sorry I forgot to show my character stats/equip at the end of the fight, part way through when I just run around with a shield up was because I had to answer a phone call mid fight. No pause!

This time around I targeted Smough first. I need the soul from Ornstein (and his armor) thus I had to kill Smough first. Killing him with melee (which I had done prior to this, even in NG+) took too many heals, I suppose you could melee him down and then use the pyromancy all on Ornstein, which is probably a better strategy.

By no means is Ornstein a pushover. Without a full size shield and a lot of endurance most of his attacks (which he uses in combos often) will kill you. In most cases even with a ton of vit he will one shot you if you let your guard down. I used the combonation of pyromancy and the Crystal Ring Shield+5's special attack to keep out of range of his lethal physical attacks and kill him in the end.

Dark Souls - Gwyn the Lord of Cinders Boss Fight (Strategy)

Area: Kiln of the First Flame
Level: 75
Class: Knight
Weapon: Crystal Halberd+4,Grass Crest Shield+5
Armor: Mask of the Child, Stone Armor Body/Hands/Legs
Havel's Ring, Wolf Ring
Difficulty: 6/10

Not particularly a hard fight, however one screw up and Gwyn really makes you pay for it. Your main objective is to survive until Gwyn uses his slash attacks (normally come in groups of 2-3, That is not to say he won't do a singe slash just to throw you off though!). When he uses his slash you need to parry and then stab him with the strongest weapon you have. When he does lunge attacks you need to roll or you will take quite a bit of damage.

The boss is a joke if done properly... but executing the strategy perfectly is pretty hard. This is one of the few bosses that is unpredictable some times. Overall it is not a hard fight, but the long walk and killing 5 knights every time will start to get annoying.

PS. You need to equip a shield that is not in the class "great shield" as it has a L2 Attack rather than parry. I used the grass shield as it helped recover stamina quickly, but I'm sure there are better alternatives.

Dark Souls - Dark Sun Gwyndolin Boss Fight (Strategy)

Area: Anor Londo
Level: 65
Class: Knight
Weapon: Crystal Halberd+4
Armor: Gold Hemmed Cloak/Legs, Cloranthy Ring, Ring of Steel Protection
Difficulty: 3/10

The fight itself is relatively simple. However one mistake and you will pretty much die. The main idea is to zig-zag your way back and forth toward Gwendolyn while avoiding her homing missiles. The missiles can be blocked by the pillars, however her giant soul arrow attack will go through the pillars. Often you may be presented with homing missiles and the giant soul arrow coming at you at once. You have to try your best to avoid them.

It may take you a few attempts but you pretty much have to two hand your weapon the entire time. Anything you could block with the shield will still do damage in most cases making the shield pretty much useless. Using this strategy of zig-zagging as I did in the video, you won't need to use your shield at all.

Dark Souls - Crossbreed Priscilla Boss Fight (Strategy)

Area: Painted World of Ariamis
Level: 60
Class: Knight
Weapon: Lightning Spear, Eagle Shield+5
Armor: Mask of the Child, Gold Hemmed Cloak/Legs,Smough's Gauntlets, Cloranthy Ring, Covetous Gold Serpent Ring
Difficulty: 3/10

The only think that makes this fight potentially hard is that she goes invisible. This however can be remedied by shooting arrows around. Once you hit her start attacking where the arrow is (it will be visible to you). After doing a bit of damage she will become visible. Continue your assault on her while avoiding her scythe attacks. Once she takes a bit of damage she will go invisible again. Rinse and repeat.

This fight is really pretty short, it just takes some effort to hit her with arrows while she is invisible.

Dark Souls - Getting the Darkmoon Seance Ring

This video shows how to get the Darkmoon Seance Ring. It is pretty hidden, requiring you to break down a wall and run down a tunnel to get the ring out of a sarcophagus/casket.

Dark Souls - Puke Dragon #2 Boss Fight (Strategy)

Area: Painted World of Artemis
Level: 60
Class: Knight
Weapon: Crystal Halberd+3, Eagle Shield+5
Armor: Mask of the Child, Gold Hemmed Cloak/Legs,Smough's Gauntlets, Cloranthy Ring, Covetous Gold Serpent Ring
Difficulty: 2/10

Pretty easy fight. Main thing to focus on is staying out of range so that he starts throwing up poison. When he does then run in and do a round of attacks. Get back out of range before he swipes at you then repeat it a couple more times.

Dark Souls - The Four Kings Boss Fight (Strategy)

Area: The Abyss (New Londo Ruins)
Level: 59
Class: Knight
Weapon: Crystal Halberd+3, Eagle Shield+5
Armor: Mask of the Child, Gold Hemmed Cloak/Legs,Smough's Gauntlets, Cloranthy Ring, Covenant of Artorias
Difficulty: 3/10

There may be 4 or 5 of these guys fighting you, but they are easy enough to focus on one at a time. They come in groups of two it seems. The second one does not seem to do much that I could tell. A good shield and a high damage weapon will make this fight go really easy.

Getting to the battle is pretty easy. After killing the first two ghosts you start walking up the stairs. Don't go all the way up. Walk forward and you will slide down a bit and you will see the top of a wall you can walk onto. From there drop to the ground. From there you just need to run for about 45secs past a bunch of knights and a big black "Hoard". Running past all of them and entering the fog gate will stop them from attacking you; However the ghosts will follow through the wall so keep that in mind.
